ACORNS is a fantastic nationwide programme, which provides support, networking and much more to early stage female entrepreneurs living in rural Ireland.
StoryLab has been delighted to work with ACORNS over the past two years to help tell the stories of the talented female entrepreneurs who participated on its acceleration program.
ACORNS (Accelerating the Creation of Rural Nascent Start-ups) is funded through the Rural Innovation and Development Fund by the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine.
Over the past two years, we have helped tell the stories of these businesswomen and watched their ideas grow into sustainable businesses.
We interviewed each trading participant and wrote their stories in an engaging way. They were then used by ACORNS in a printed brochure as well as on its own website. The entrepreneurs themselves also used them on their own websites and social media.
It has been a pleasure to meet people when their ideas were just a kernel and to continue to update their stories to include multiple awards, multi-million investments and massive employment creation.
ACORNS has just finished a call for the next 56 entrepreneurs to take part in the programme, running from October 2017 to April 2018, and we look forward to meeting those participating – the female business leaders of the future.
