Every day, StoryLab helps companies to use better English. But last month we turned out attention to the nation's teenagers.
We were thrilled to be asked for a sixth time by INM to edit the the Irish Independent’s hugely popular Written Word supplements. Our brief was to help make learning English fun and accessible – and provide students with tips, tricks and hacks to get them over the line in June’s Leaving Cert exams.
The content, spread across three 24-page magazines, included input from teachers from across Ireland with additional contributions from celebrities, career guidance counsellors and professional writers.
But exams are not all about studying – safeguarding the wellbeing of our children is vitally important. The Written Word series included a superb exams wellness guide from coach Alan Williams and a piece by careers teacher Jackie Ruddock on how to handle pressure.
The Written Word has become an important educational content brand for INM, driving newspaper sales and helping the media publisher to engage with schools and students. We we are proud to be trusted by them each year to deliver this important content project.
