Helping WoW tell the stories of its female leadership programme
As a company with a female co-founder, we are only too aware of the barriers facing women in leadership roles. So, we were delighted to be asked to work with the amazing group of female leaders behind WoW.
WoW is a voluntary female leadership initiative run by a Steering Group of inspirational female leaders. They asked StoryLab to work with them on their #WomanUp action plan on female leadership and gender diversity.
Supported by Davy, the action plan was developed following research carried out by the WoW Steering Group and was also informed by the innovative WoW programme which supports young, high-potential female leaders.
#WomanUp was targeted at business leaders as well as women — and men — in the workforce and was launched last month by Gary McGann, chairman of Paddy Power Betfair and Aryzta.
The aim of the action plan is to help businesses increase the number of women who take up leadership roles and accelerate the female talent pipeline.
StoryLab’s involvement in the action plan included working with WoW to tell the stories of the mentees — and mentors — who participated on the WoW leadership programme as well as providing editorial support for the publication of #WomanUp.
