The story of climate change took centre stage in November as StoryLab worked with Sustainable Nation Ireland to successfully drive awareness of Climate Finance Week.
With more than 20 events held across four days, CFW19 largely focussed on how the fight against climate change can be funded.
Media coverage of the week’s events was extensive with stories and pictures landing in the Irish Independent, Irish Times, RTE, Newstalk, Fora.ie, the Irish Examiner, Irish Tech News, Thinkbusiness.ie and Environmental Finance in London.
Ahead of the event, the Sunday Business Post carried a Q&A with CFW19 chair and, Sustainable Nation CEO Stephen Nolan, and, after CFW19, an in-depth interview with Sustainable Nation Ireland ambassador and climate change advocate Pat Cox.
To supplement PR activity ahead of CFW, StoryLab created a suite of video and written content for use on social media.
These included a series of short videos featuring influential financiers and business people speaking about their hopes and fears over climate change, ahead of CFW19.
Climate Finance Week Ireland 2019, which took place across five days from November 4 to 8, was convened by Sustainable Nation Ireland, an output of the Government’s Ireland for Finance Strategy to promote Ireland as a hub for sustainable finance and responsible investment.
The principal sponsor of the week was AIB, which in October became the first bank to sign up to the United Nations Environment Finance Initiative (UNEP-FI) Principles for Responsible Banking.
