We’ve made a few changes to our website – alright, we’ve made more than a few but we thought it was time to bring people up to date with our storytelling services.
In a nutshell, we hope that our new website outlines more clearly what we do, and allows the people who we do it for – to give their honest verdict.
Thanks to Karen Hanratty and her team at Pixel Design for their excellent work.
Since we began telling clients’ stories in 2014, quite a bit of water has flowed under the proverbial bridge in terms of what clients use storytelling for.
But while platforms and mediums may change, some things stay the same. One central truth, which formed part of StoryLab’s original proposition six years ago, is this: ‘Everyone has a story, What’s Yours?’
Of course, quite a bit else has changed: 2020 has been one of the most extraordinary years in living memory, with the Covid pandemic posing once in a lifetime challenges to the way we do business and the way we communicate.
A year ago, who knew what Zoom was? Who knew that we would need to disseminate news, comms and crisis PR to remote and fragmented audiences that were suddenly dispersed and flung apart? Who knew that 2020 would become the year of communication?
This year, in times of crisis, we have helped our clients to find their way by telling their stories in different ways.
We have helped our clients to have honest conversations with their customers, stakeholders and staff.
We’ve helped them to deliver calm and precise messaging across multiple platforms, using words and graphic design, podcast, video and crisp visuals.
We’ve shown them how to engage with the media and continue to reach their audience and tribes.
We’ve guided them on how best to interact with social and advised on how they can best share their opinions.
Sometimes we’ve helped by delivering a combination of all of the above.
As 2020 draws to a close, people are thinking of drafting their communications plans for 2021. A lot of people have adopted the term Build Back Better or Building Back Better. We can all start by telling better stories.
Business at the best of times is no cakewalk that’s for sure – but getting your story straight is half the battle. If you are interested in our services, check out www.storylab.ie and learn more about PR, Design, Podcasting, Video and more.
