Ireland’s Social Enterprises
Read about our latest work with the Irish Local Development Network (ILDN) to help promote the work of Ireland's social enterprises.
StoryLab has been working with the Irish Local Development Network (ILDN) since January to help promote the work of Ireland’s social enterprises.
Ahead of the SocialiSE 2022 Summit on June 29, we produced a series of magazines including news, stories and features about the summit and interviews with key organisers.
The content, published in the months leading up to the summit, served to build awareness of the summit among stakeholders and participants.
The SocialiSE event was held at the F2 Centre in Rialto, Dublin and was attended by more than 200 people involved in the running and organisation of social enterprises across Ireland.
Topics discussed and addressed in talks and workshops included social enterprise governance, storytelling for social enterprises, challenges in securing finance, the relevance of the social enterprise life cycle and considerations when applying for social finance.
Speakers at the summit included former RTE Midlands reporter and social enterprise advocate Ciaran Mullooly, Donal Traynór, CEO of Community Finance Ireland and Andrew Forde from the Department of Rural and Community Development.
Delegates at SocialiSE also heard about social enterprise models in communities, from Meals on Wheels to local bike shops.
