Show them that #SligoSupports
2020 turned out to be something beyond every business’s wildest imaginations – and, let’s face it, nightmares.
The COVID-19 pandemic has caused shutdowns, slowdowns and the kind of once-in-a-lifetime challenges that will test business resolve and resilience like nothing we have seen before.
It is of course first and foremost a health emergency and our thoughts are with the families of those who have died from or who are ill with the virus – as well as those frontline workers who are serving our communities in different ways.
Like all businesses, we have been impacted to some degree – that was inevitable – but thankfully we’ve been able to maintain business continuity and we have also been very fortunate to have the support of wonderful clients.
We know we’re lucky. We are a national agency but we love our local roots – we are based in Sligo, where the business community is a close one and connected and where support is never far away.
As a small token of our own support, we have set up special ‘Sligo Supports’ pages on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook to spotlight and showcase Sligo-based businesses that are still offering products and services, and adhering to best health advice. Our friends Denise Rushe of Starling & Co and Aoife Porter of Bua Marketing have also contributed.
It’s a small way to help everyone support each other and more importantly support local businesses who are in the fight of their lives to stay alive. Show them that #SligoSupports by looking out for the posts and share, like and retweet wherever possible.
All you have to do is DM @SligoSupports or @StoryLabIRL with a pic and a brief descriptor of your business and service and we’ll do the rest.
