The four-star hotel has invested over €5m in recent years to complement its exceptional service and it is now reaping the awards with the hotel now a stand-out choice for guests coming to the West of Ireland.

One such addition to the hotel, which sits on the outskirts of Sligo, is an Italian-style Pergola which has been seamlessly integrated into the hotel and acts as a beautiful hub for wedding drinks’ receptions and a range of other events.

Unsurprisingly, this new area is creating a lot of hype amongst wedding-goers and visitors giving wedding couples an added dimension to their special day.

With their busy wedding and events schedules, as well as the bus-loads of tourists who are using the Sligo Park Hotel as their base to holiday along the Wild Atlantic Way, it always amazes us how the hotel manages to be an oasis of calm while creating a fantastic social atmosphere.

But don’t have to take it from us, their recent awards do the talking.

In May, the hotel was named in TripAdvisor’s’ Top 25 Hotels in Ireland for the second year in a row! This list included many five-star hotels across the country and it is great to see the Sligo Park on that impressive roll call.

In April, the hotel also received a silver award at the Fáilte Ireland Employer Excellence Awards. Director of the Hotel, Gerard Moore, and HR manager, Mary Halton, picked up the awards at a ceremony at the Guinness Storehouse in April. And in November of last year, the hotel was certified as a Great Place to Work, which not only makes this a great place to stay but also a great place to develop your career.
